New Patients Welcome!
Welcome to Prestige Dental, home of your Sarasota dentist. Our Sarasota Florida family dentist, Dr. Peter Rubenstein, provides professional and caring dentistry services for all members of your family. We offer a wide range of preventative care, restorative care and cosmetic dentistry services. From routine dental hygiene appointments to Invisalign clear aligners, we offer everything you need for oral health in one convenient location.
Dr. Rubenstein, has advanced training in all aspects of general dentistry and is Invisalign certified. He is proficient in root canals (Endodontics), bridges and dentures (Prosthodontics) and oral surgery, which means he can provide most services in-house without the need for referral to a specialist in most cases.
Since our main focus is on preventative care dentistry we recommend regular appointments so that we can assess your oral health, look for signs of gum disease or oral cancer, remove built-up plaque and tartar, and take care of any cavities before they cause you discomfort. In addition to cavity check X-rays, we may take a Panorex X-Ray, which allows us to get a full two-dimensional view of your mouth, teeth, bones, jaws, and sinus cavity. We also provide patient education to help you take better care of your teeth at home.
We will thoroughly examine your mouth and look for any potential problems. If there is any damage, he will discuss treatment options with you. Cavities may just need a filling or he may recommend veneers or crowns if your teeth are chipped, stained, cracked or have small spaces between them. If there is advanced damage, we may recommend root canal therapy. We use a rotary file system, which is faster than the traditional files to perform root canals. If the tooth is too damaged to be saved, our Sarasota dentist will extract the tooth and advise you on whether implants and crowns, bridges or dentures are the best solution for you.
Many patients are concerned about their overall appearance. Teeth that are chipped, crooked or stained can make them feel self-conscious. Our cosmetic dentistry services can help restore your smile and your confidence. If there are minor spacing or crowding issues, Invisalign clear aligners can help. A computer program is used to generate a series of Invisalign aligners. The aligners exert pressure and gradually move your teeth into a new position. Aligners are changed every two weeks until the desired result is achieved.
Another aspect of our cosmetic dentistry services is teeth whitening. Our procedures involve taking an impression of your teeth to fashion custom whitening trays that you can reuse. We provide you with a teeth whitening gel that you put in the tray and hold in your mouth for a short period of time over a few days. This approach can yield a result that is four to eight shades whiter. We also offer in-house teeth whitening, which can provide you with an instantly brighter smile.
